Hi all \u2013 we will be conducting our annual CPR class on Wednesday, April 26th<\/span>.   This class teaches adult, child and infant CPR \u2013 it is strongly recommended for everybody \u2013 you never know when you will need this life saving skill.<\/p>\n

Class starts at 6:30pm<\/span> in the school cafeteria and will end about 8:45<\/span>.<\/p>\n

If your son is taking the first aid merit badge, CPR is one of the requirements (Requirements 3a, 3b & 3c).  Unless he completed the CPR class last year, he will need to take the class this year.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Explain what action you should take for someone who shows signals of shock, for someone who shows signals of a heart attack, and for someone who shows signals of stroke.<\/li>\n
  2. Identify the conditions that must exist before performing CPR on a person. Then demonstrate proper technique in performing CPR using a training device approved by your counselor.<\/li>\n
  3. Explain the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Cost is $15.00 for scouts\/youth; $20.00 for adults<\/p>\n
