Kayak Trip
Verde River at Clear Creek
Car camping.
Meeting time – 2:30pm on Saturday, March 18th at Madison #1 School (16th Street parking lot).
When we get to Camp Verde, we will set up camp and cook dinner.
On Sunday, we will cook breakfast and tear down camp. We should be on the river by 9:00am. Plan for a 2.5 / 3 hour paddle, so we should be done by 12:00 and on our way back to Phoenix. Participants will need a sack lunch for Sunday.
All boys going on the trip will need to have completed the swimming merit badge. We have parents looking at getting a class set up – possibly March 11th.
Every participant needs to have a medical form on file – Class A/B. if you don’t have a form, click on the link to download the form.

Cost is $20.00 to cover camping and gas. Bring payment to the meeting on March 15th.

Individual Campout Checklist
for Troop Overnighter
Our Troop is conducting an overnighter on _03/18/17– 03/19/17. We are going kayayking along the Verde River. We will return early to mid-afternoon on March 19___.
The following is a list of equipment that would be useful on the campout.
This list is not all inclusive. Add / take away what you feel is necessary.
Check off each item in pencil as you lay out your equipment pack.
High temperatures in the 70’s, Lows in the 40’s. River temp is 50.
Ten Essentials

❑ Repair kit (tent tape; extra pack straps/buckles; Swiss Army knife or Leatherman)
