CPR Class

Hi all – we will be conducting our annual CPR class on Wednesday, April 26th.   This class teaches adult, child and infant CPR – it is strongly recommended for everybody – you never know when you will need this life saving skill.

Class starts at 6:30pm in the school cafeteria and will end about 8:45.

If your son is taking the first aid merit badge, CPR is one of the requirements (Requirements 3a, 3b & 3c).  Unless he completed the CPR class last year, he will need to take the class this year.

1. Explain what action you should take for someone who shows signals of shock, for someone who shows signals of a heart attack, and for someone who shows signals of stroke.
2. Identify the conditions that must exist before performing CPR on a person. Then demonstrate proper technique in performing CPR using a training device approved by your counselor.
3. Explain the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).

Cost is $15.00 for scouts/youth; $20.00 for adults
