When:  Saturday, April 29 to Sunday, April 30

Meet at Madison #1 on Saturday at 1:00pm – 1:30 departure

Return Sunday around 12:00.

What:  We are going to Kitt Peak in Southern Arizona for an observatory visit.  Boys will get a chance to look at the night sky through the telescopes and work on the Astronomy Merit Badge.

We will be sleeping in the Visitors Center – bring sleeping pads and sleeping bags.

No cooking is allowed, so Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast need to be cold meals.

Cost:  $50.00 per person –High temperatures in the 70’s & 80’s, Lows in the 40’s & 50’s.  

Driving Directions – Plan 2 hours 50 minutes (MapQuest directions)

Take 51 South to I-10

Take I-10 East to Tucson (81.58 miles)

Exit 236 toward Marana Road (.44 miles)

Turn right onto North Casa Grande Higway (.03 miles)

Straight on North Sandario Road (.04 miles)

Turn right on West Marana Road (1.0 miles)

Turn left on North Sanders Road (4.0 miles)
